Subtle threads like noon time shadows pull in the darkest hours.
Your name your face your voice.
Sticky wisps of thought and entangled energies.
Suddenly miles have no distance, no measure.
Times movement only a fairy tale for children.
Knowing your starvation in the pit of my stomach,
I track your fear with each beat of my heart.
Atoms of sadness blink their Morse code tears with sleepless eyes.
Particle messengers ignite thoughts. Longing, seeking, searching.
Entangled circles of wanting to bring back Picasso painted memories,
and hang them in midnight's gallery.
Which of them would deserve even a thimbleful of consciousness?
The only truth of your goodness, the innocent scent of your skin.
The only warmth in your voice,
When you speak my name to others as if you knew me.
The only gift worth keeping, the rainy puddle of your being,
a mirror for my reflection.
For how else would I see the halo of clouds.
Breathing into all spaces as the sun rises,
the antidote is whispered by the bodhisattva on the nightstand.
Touching the petals of enlightened perfection, I become a flower.
This one truth is all I want for you.
